Getting a Haircut/Trim
Dialogue 1
StylistHow would you like your hair cut today?
CustomerI want it shorter, with bangs.
StylistHow short would you like it?
CustomerJust above my shoulders, and for the bangs,a little above my eyebrows.

Dialogue 2
StylistHi, how are you today?
CustomerGreat. I'd like to get my hair trimmed, and can you also layer it?
StylistSure. Would you like a shampoo too? 
CustomerYes, please.

Getting a Perm
Dialogue 1
CustomerHi, I want to get a perm that makes my hair look naturally curly.
StylistDo you want a full perm or a partial perm?
CustomerJust the bottom half.
StylistIt sounds like a stack perm is what you want, but let me              show you a picture first to make sure.
CustomerYes, that's exactly what I want.

Getting a Haircut/Trim 剪頭髮
髮型師:妳頭髮今天想要怎麼剪?
客人:我想要剪短一點,還有劉海。
髮型師:妳想剪多短?
客人:肩膀以上,劉海剪到眉毛上面一點點就好。
髮型師:嗨,你今天好嗎?

Getting a Perm 燙頭髮
客人:嗨,我想燙頭髮,讓我的頭髮看起來像自然捲。

客人:只要燙下半部就好。
髮型師:聽起來妳要的是堆疊燙,但我還是先拿照片讓妳確認一下好了。

【Sandra’s 英語情境對話】You are what you eat

Tara is making dinner. 

Conversation A 
Blake:What are you cooking? 
Tara:I'm making steamed fish.I'm also going to make brown rice.That's healthier than
          white rice. 
Blake:Let's add lots of salt.That will make it better. 
Tara:No way.Maybe we can add some low-fat cheese.What do you say? 
Blake:Well...all right.Can we also have some fruit? 
Tara:Sure!You can cut some apples.We'll eat them before dinner. 
Blake:I have a better idea.Let's have banana ice cream.Bananas are fruit. 
Tara:Forget it.Hurry up and get those apples. 

Conversation B 
Tara:Did you enjoy your healthy meal? 
Blake:Yeah.It was great.Do you really eat this all the time
Tara:Yes.I always try to have food from the four food groups.I also avoid fat,oil,and sweets. 
Blake:I guess I should do the same thing.From now on,I'll eat plenty of fruit and                                        vegetables. Tara:Now let's have dessert
Blake:Is it chocolate cake?That's my favorite. 
Tara:No.We're going to have sugar-free yogurt. 
Blake:What???Being healthy is good,but it's not always fun.

What kind of music do you like?


Bill : What kind of music do you like?
Craig : I love just about anything by Prince.
Bill : So, you're into 80s music then?
Craig : Well, I like all kinds of music, but he is one of my favorites. How about you?
Bill : I like alternative music.
Craig : Do you have a favorite band?
Bill : To be honest, no. I'm always in search of new music to listen to.
Craig : Do you often go to concerts?
Bill : I usually go to see a live band about twice a month. What about you?
Craig : I love going to live gigs. Are there any good local bands playing around here that you'd recommend?
Bill : There's an open mic night at the pub down the road every Thursday night where my favorite local band usually plays. You should come along next week with me.
Craig : I'd love to, but I have a night class on Thursdays.
Bill : That's too bad, maybe another time.
Craig : Let me know if you hear about any good bands playing on the weekends. I have more free time then.
Bill : I'll let you know.

       Gary is on the fourth job interview since he got 
laid off. After reading a guide called "How to Succeed
 in Any Job Interviews," he should be ready this time



Interviewer: Why are you applying for this position?

Gray: My skills match the requirements

Interviewer: Why did you choose us?

Gray:This is a well known, large scale national corporation. 

Interviewer: What starting salary are you looking for?

Gray: A hundred twenty thousand dollars a year. depending on the benefits package. 

Interviewer: Well, what would you say to a package of 5 weeks of vacation and full medical insurance?

Gray: Yes!

Interviewer: Plus a company retirement fund up to 80 percent, and a company car leased every two years?

Gray :Wow! Are you kidding?

 Interviewer: Yeah, but you started it.

【Hedy's英文情境對話】Where are you going to go?

CONVERSATION: Where are you going to go? 

Yuka: Hi, Lucy, what are you doing?

 Lucy: Hi, Yuka. Sarah and I are planning a vacation. 

Yuka: Really? Where are you going to go?

 Lucy: We're not sure yet, but we're thinking about Japan, when is 
the best time to go?

 Yuka: Well, if you go in the spring, you'll see the cherry blossoms And the weather will probably be nice for sightseeing. 

 Lucy: That sounds beautiful. Maybe we'll go in the spring

 Yuka: But the fall is beautiful, too. You can see the leaves change 
colors

 Lucy: bet the summer is nice, too 

 Yuka: If you keep going, you'll have to move there!
